Hi friends!
So I wanted to give you a quick recap my Nordstrom Anniversary sale picks. While I didn’t buy a whole lot, I did purchase pieces that were missing in my wardrobe or needed to be replaced. Well, guess what…this gal didn’t have much luck this go around.
First off, the classic Hugo Boss dress pants. I was so bummed about these because I have worn these pants in the past and loved them! For some reason, the material just seemed different (itchy) and the sizing was off for me. Now all that to say, they could work for you. I still love Hugo Boss dress pants, suits, pretty much everything it makes, but I guess this particular pair and cut was not for me this time.
On a brighter note, it was a win with the Kut bootcut jeans. For reference, I am usually a Paige, Frame or Madewell kind of girl but wanted to try something different. The wash and the length on these were absolutely perfect, and even though it says they are “high rise” they are not your mama’s high rise jeans. They are more of a midrise in my opinion. So if you are looking for a good pair of classic bootcut jeans at a reasonable price, I highly recommend these.
Along with the bootcut jeans being a keeper, these beautiful Sam Edelman leopard print pumps also got to take up residency in my closet instead of going back to the store. These pumps are even more gorgeous in person. They fit true to size and the insoles have this extra padding that gives just the right support when wearing heels. The way the toe box is shaped it is super flattering on your feet too! So if you want something that is a little sassy and a great statement piece, I would click here and add it to your Nordy cart. You won’t be sad about it.
Speaking of sad, I was so bummed about the Nordstrom Signature cashmere sweater. It really had some potential. But here’s why it wasn’t for me…for one, the sweater was super thin, had pulls in it already and the shape of it was just not my best look. So for the price and the state that it was already in, I said “adios” back to Nordstrom you go! Will be on the look out for something similar as I really want that color in my sweater rotation so I will let you know what I find.
Another sad situation was the black BlankNYC leather (or faux leather) jacket. It had way too many silver zippers on it for this not so cool mama. And when I say, way too many silver details, it was like I had The Fonz leather jacket (hey!). I don’t know how I missed all the silver zippers in the picture …maybe I was in the Nordy Anniversary trance and it didn’t register. I don’t know. Anyway, what I did like about it was the shade of black (not too shiny or cheap matte look), it was super soft, loved the way it fit, and the collarless Moto style as you can style it with so many different types of tops and even dresses. So again, will post when I do find the perfect black Moto jacket in case you too are in the market for one.
Now, for the things that are consistently a hit. The Nordstrom throw that you just want to have on you all the time along with the Barefoot Dreams cozy chic light circle cardigan. I purchased one BD cardigan for a special somebody for their bday in the charcoal color and one for myself in the pacific blue. The charcoal one is awesome color wise (thank goodness since it was a gift) but the pacific blue, not so much. I know, you are thinking, really? How can you go wrong with BD in any color? Well, the color wasn’t like the picture (it was way darker) the pockets were a different shade and even had some sort of stitching on them. It was weird. Again, the pictures shown were deceiving as it looked all one color and a lighter blue. So if you pull the trigger and buy this one, I would suggest the charcoal all the way!
The Nordstrom Kinnebunkport throws, you can’t go wrong, but if you want my favorite colors, and ones that look like what you see online or even better, they are vanilla, grey frost, navy blue, rust kaya and teal calypso.
I hope this Nordstrom Anniversary recap helped and you will share this with your friends.
I have a few more things on order for my girls and a jacket I thought was too fun to pass up. So once I get those in, I will give you the scoop or my opinion on them.
Thanks for stopping by!
