Well, gone are the lazy days of summer! No more staying in our pjs until we want to and just easing into our day. No agenda, no pressing engagements. Just lounging around, playing Legos, many games of uno, building pillow forts and sometimes baking desserts even though it’s still breakfast time.
My girls and I have really soaked up these slow days of summer almost too much. Maybe watched a little too much Hallmark movies and HGTV, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. This summer has really been a sweet spot with my girls and I am going to be so sad when that alarm goes off on Friday morning. Especially, because I have to get out of my pjs or maybe not. Maybe I will still be wearing my favorite pj pants and just put a nice shirt on so at least I look pulled together from afar. Just kidding. Kind of.
So here are mine and my girls favorite pjs. I have even worn one of the tops as a shell under my blazers (see post).
As you can see I love separates. I like to just wear my favorite A New Day tank with the pants or any old kind of t-shirt I have around. These pants are super soft and fit true to size. I don’t have this particular pattern, but it’s the same brand and style.
Along with pj pants, I love joggers and these are my favorites. I don’t feel like I am wearing pjs when I have these on so makes me feel a little less lazy on those pjs days.
If you are a more night shirt type sleeper, I have one very similar to this one. Mine is a few years old so I couldn’t find the exact same one or brand. This is a new brand Target carries and it has great reviews. Just like the one I have from Target, I like that is longer in the back, so I am not showing all my business especially around my kids.
My girls love pj separates just like their mama and these are their picks…
They like these pj pants because not only are they soft but lightweight and they love to wear their school or church tees with it. There is something comforting about a well worn tee paired with their favorite pj pants. .
I also have these sleep shorts in my cart for my Livi’s 9th birthday coming up. She loves lavender and these pj shorts looked so soft and comfy. This would be a cute outfit for a sleepover too.
Well, that’s it folks! Short and sweet!
Cheers to more pj days and sweet moments with your special people.
